Serene Jiratanan, School Director & Principal

Serene Jiratanan founded MABIS in 2010.  Serene graduated from the International School Bangkok with a full IB Diploma, holds a Bachelor's in Economics from Cornell University, Masters of Business Administration from MIT Sloan, Masters in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College and holds AMI Montessori teaching certifications for ages 3-6 years and 6-12 years.   

Her career as a strategy consultant, investment banker, and marketing executive for a Fortune 100 company, and, most importantly, as a mother, has provided her a diverse perspective on life, leadership and success. She aspires to foster the same world outlook in the children who study at the school.

Charmaine Soh, Academic Advisor

Charmaine Soh has extensive experience in early childhood education and school management and is one of Asia’s foremost experts on Montessori. She was past president of the Chinese Montessori International, founder of Greentree Montessori School in Singapore, and has shared her expertise through seminars, parenting programs and workshops throughout China, Southeast Asia, USA and Europe. Charmaine holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College USA, and teaching credentials from both AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) and AMS (American Montessori Society). Charmaine is pleased to offer her expertise to Montessori Academy Bangkok.

Vontharnee (May) Jiratanan, Director of Finance & Transportation

Khun May is responsible for all the Finance functions and Transportation for MABIS.  She has a Bachelors in Hotel Administration from Boston University and a Masters in Hospitality and Tourism  Management  from Rochester Institute of Technology.  She is currently pursuing a Master in Educational Administration with DeVry University.

Nichapa (Cherry) Jiratanan, Director of Facilities & Design

Khun Cherry oversees the exterior and interior design of the campus.  She is a graduate of Chulalongkorn’s faculty of Architecture & Design and has a Masters in Facilities Management from Pratt Institute, New York.  She is also overseeing the design and development of the new Elementary building.
